The air traffic disruption caused by the ash plume from the Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption has had at least one positive benefit as far as I was concerned – an afternoon’s visit to the beautiful Koli National Park in eastern Finland, made famous in the 19th century by the music and paintings of Jean Sibelius, Juhani Aho and Eero Järnefelt.
